Slackr mum…
I’m such a slackr ma leh….Just came from reading Shooi’s blog about her concern of having a breech baby.
Me ah… Aiyo… so slack leh..We’re almost the same no. of weeks. Over here, you can’t simply go thru ultrasound..which is good. So, I have no clue what’s happening to No.3 I don’t know how big or small the lil fler is. I know this lil fler does do the tumbly-turns in my tums..coz, one minute I’d feel hiccups at the top of my tum…the next moment, it’s at the bottom.
I don’t know if this lil fler is normal for its’ size…or too small or what! No.1 was 3.5kg, No.2 was 3kg…I am now wondering No.3 will be how heavy leh? I just hope not less than 3kg…coz then I’d really have to eat more now..which strangely it’s not my top priority. I’ve not put on weight since I came here.
I don’t have that kan-cheongness I had when I had No.1 and 2. I’m like…..so SLACK!
And the other thing…No.2’s pre-school. I’ve been reading all you mums’ blogs on sending your kids to pre-school. Those who are the same age as No.2. Me ah…… I haven’t even thought of sending him to one, until I read all these mums’ blogs! Then, when I wanted to send…apparently, over here, he’s still too young wor! So, I can only send him next year.
The funny thing about here is that one is encouraged to ‘register’ their child for pre-school, when the child turns 18months. That is, to book a place in the preferred pre-school. Is that advanced planning or what?
I truly feel like a slackr mum, coz I was told I have to think where I want to live, so that my kids will get into a good SECONDARY school!!!!!!!! SECONDARY WORRRRRRRRR!!!! I’m thinking to myself, even if I get to live near a good secondary school, who’s to say that it’ll remain a good school, when my kids are old enough to go???!!!
Everyone is more kiasu than I thought! Or…I’m just slack la.
Perhaps give me another year or so la…I think I’ll turn just as kiasu la…have to go for flute/piano/karate/taekwando/ mandarin/japanese/maths/ etc classes……… Bye bye money la!
Then I heard the children’s parties here are phenomenal leh…. they really go all out for theme parties..pay extra extra extra to have a fantastic party la…

Now..I truly understand why they say kids are expensive..it’s not just the education…it’s the everything else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

mati lah…….i am also a slacker. I haven’t fully potty trained my munchkin, think about which kindy she goes to, which primary school, which ballet classes, music classes, whatever tots classes…….and the list goes on. Mati lah!!!

wei… *hands folded, tap tap feet* you tokking about me arr??! i looked for aidan’s pre-school when he turned ONE wor, not 18mths, kakakakkaa! but now i slack liao, haven’t found a prep school yet.
party, kawan, Macca’s everywhere. don’t let those parents bully you into having one. better still, share with someone, so the cost is cheaper. arrr… share with me lar, month almost the same, keekeke… both can have thomas tank theme, muaahahahaha!

3rd child is like that one! All those that are on top of things are those with only ONE child. My poor number 3, everything also dont have. She looks at her jie jie’s baby photos and say it is her, coz we even hardly took photos for her when she was a baby. Welcome to the Mum of 3 club!!

Aiya…No.3 sure slacker one lah.. No.1 sureee MEGA kanchiong. No.2 sure got NOT so kanchiong. No.3…its like the same …just got bigger belly…hahahah
Kanchiong to get kids to pre-school and anything else is because then they can GET OUT OF YOUR HAIR!! Not so much of their “enrichment”…hahahhaha

i agree with the rest la. I was very kanchiong abt my first kid, 2nd one, i tak apa until i heard that he hasn’t turn. Then baru i go scour the net for information.
I think moms should learn to relax. If too kanchiong, the kids will be very stressed. Slack moms are sometimes “better” hehe.
